Service injuries often mean leaving behind your Military Career plans.
As harsh as it may seem, our fighting forces often cannot accomodate the needs of its disabled members.
Medical discharge or retirement is what all of CCVTS' participants will face.
Most are young, junior enlisted with less than four years of active duty.
Most have recieved only infantry or combat-related training.
Their immediate challendge is to get well: This means surguries and therapy--lasting months or years.
The next objective is to make a new life in the civilian world.
Home
In order to begin transitioning into civilian life, they need a place to live: a home.
CCVTS provides a safe, secure, affordable and accessible home while enabling each individual to pursue his or her goals.
Jobs
Transitioning back to civilian life with the added challenges of injuries and disabilities can be overwhelming.
Most of us find jobs with the help of family and friends.
CCVTS offers professional assistance.
But the real difference comes from you.
As employers and friends, you can help our young men and women find the types of jobs and careers that will make them self-sufficient.
CCVTS has set an ambitious goal for itself.
We are committed to creating a transitional program for combat-wounded and disabled veterans.
To do this we need to assure each participant of housing, services and support.
Such promises do not happen without resources.
Community Catalysts has dedicated significant resources.
We call on you and other members of the community to join with us.
Each participant's program represents $1,500 per month in direct-support costs for housing, utilities and related services.
